Introduction

  • Now in their fifth year, the HASSRA Festivals have become an important fixture in our annual calendar of events. With an ever wider choice of sports and recreational activities, our Festivals offer something for everyone. If being an organiser is more your thing, why not join our volunteer team and be at the heart of the action? Read on to find out more about these fantastic events and how to get involved.

Venue

  • The University of Warwick will once again play host to our Festivals in 2017. Located in the heart of England, the University campus enjoys a cosmopolitan mix of bars and restaurants, as well as the essential convenience stores and banks. Add in first class sports facilities and the renowned Warwick Arts Centre, and you have everything you need for a fantastic Festival weekend.

Timings

  • The Festivals take place over a weekend, with our competitors and volunteers arriving early evening on Friday and leaving after breakfast on Sunday. The majority of the events take place on Saturday, followed by a chance to let your hair down and celebrate with friends and fellow competitors at the Presentation Dinner & Disco on Saturday night.

This year’s dates for your diary:

Friday 7th to Sunday 9th July and

Friday 8th to Sunday 10th September

Accommodation, Food and Transport

  • All competitors will be allocated single en-suite accommodation on campus. However, there may be a limited number of twin rooms on request.

All meals from dinner on Friday to breakfast on Sunday are provided.

Where applicable, competitors should travel to and from the University using their region’s coach. Please contact your Regional Business Partner for further information.
