Circular from Shelf Hall Park 6 mile walk
HASSRA Y&H & Leeds Walking Club next walk
will take place on Saturday 17 August, led by Neil McDonald
The Walk: Around 6 miles through woods and across fields taking in views over the Shibden valley and beyond to Emley Moor and the edge of the Peak District. Mostly on well kept paths with the odd dodgy stile and a few short uphill stretches.
Meeting Time and Place: 10:15 for a 10:30 start in the car park off Bridle Stile at Shelf Hall Park HX3 7NW

I can offer a lift to 2 people from Halifax Train Station – catch the 9:27 from Leeds
Clothing: The terrain may be muddy and uneven in parts so appropriate footwear will be needed. Given the unpredictable weather, please bring/wear suitable clothing/layers.
Lunch: Please bring a packed lunch and plenty of liquid. At the end of the walk we can go to The Bottomley Arms which serves decent beer and food. https://bottomleys-arms.co.uk/
