Auditor

The auditor for the region is appointed by the Regional Finance Manager.

The role of the Auditor is to:

• Audit the accounts annually at the financial year end.
• The auditors appointed, if not from a commercial firm, should be experienced members of staff with the necessary knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures and controls.
• Required to issue an unqualified/­qualified certificate regarding the outcome of the accounts.
• Recommend improvements in financial control etc if necessary.
