Civil Service Retirement Fellowship
A national charity bringing community and companionship to Civil Servants in retirement.
You may not have heard about us before, but The Civil Service Retirement Fellowship (CSRF) has been running charitable services built around friendship and advice for 60 years.
So whether you’re a Civil Servant at the start of your career, or currently eyeing your transition into retirement, you can sign up to support the work we do.
Our organisation was founded on our local community group network sixty years ago that was set up across the country to provide forums for friendship for former Civil Servants and their dependents.
We’re always keen to recruit a new cohort of community volunteers willing to help us open new groups around the UK, volunteering is a great way to develop your inter-personal skills and make new friends!
And remember to make the most of the opportunities available to you if you are existing DWP staff with the Community 10,000 (C10K) team, or by joining a befriending scheme (see below).
We’ve been running befriending schemes for over 12 years now during which time our trained volunteer befrienders have provided over 10,000 visits and calls to members of our community looking for some friendship.
For both volunteer and beneficiary, befriending is a great way to develop your inter-personal skills, make a new friend and learn from each other.
Go to our website to find out how to join us, and remember that you shouldn’t have to retire from life when you retire!
