Steam Train Excursion - Sun 1st Sept 24

Day excursion on a steam train with a traditional 3 course Sunday lunch.

INCLUDED TOUR HIGHLIGHTS

Sunday 1st of September. Leave from QH at 10am and make our way to Derbyshire.

Set in traditional 1950s coaches, hauled by a beautiful steam locomotive, on board Derbyshire’s longest heritage railway. We commence our journey from Wirksworth - the heart of where it all began! Wirksworth is a large station at the northerly end of the line and the main base. The new Museum and Association shop at Wirksworth features an interesting array of railway-related artefacts, information about the railway and interactive displays.

The train journey will take approx. one and a half hours.

Example of three course set lunch. Soup of the day with a fresh bread roll, roast topside of Derbyshire beef, homemade Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables with a side of gravy. Dessert of the week. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options available (must be pre ordered). Drinks table service available.

We aim to be back at QH by 5pm, traffic permitting.
