We currently offer discounted gym memberships to all DWP staff at all our centres in Blackpool: Moor Park Health and Leisure Centre, Blackpool Sports Centre, and Palatine Leisure Centre. For 2025, we’ve made some fantastic updates to our Corporate Memberships:

Membership Prices

  • Corporate Single: £19.99­/month
  • Corporate Joint: £33.99­/month
  • Corporate Family: £42.99­/month

Only one person needs to work for DWP to qualify for Joint and Family memberships.

Flexible Payment Options

We offer rolling monthly contracts with flexible payment choices:

  1. Direct Debit: Payments are taken on the 4th of each month. A pro-rata payment will be charged on the day you join, giving you immediate access until your first Direct Debit.
  2. Recurring Card Payments: Choose your start date, and payments will be automatically charged on the same date each month.
  3. Annual Payment: Pay for 10 months upfront and enjoy 2 months FREE!

Free 3-Day Pass for all DWP staff and family members living at the same address - try before you buy!

This pass gives you:

  • Unlimited access to the gym, swimming pools, and fitness classes across our centres: Moor Park, Blackpool Sports Centre, and Palatine Leisure Centre.
  • A free gym induction to help you get started.

Please show your corporate ID at any of our receptions to activate your Free 3-day pass.

Membership Benefits

  • Unlimited use of gym facilities, swimming pools, and fitness classes at all three centres.
  • Personalised gym plans and regular fitness reviews to help you achieve your goals.
  • Access to the bouldering room and climbing wall (competency test required, which can be booked at Blackpool Sports Centre for a small fee).
  • Full use of the athletics track at Stanley Park and the cycling track at Palatine Leisure Centre.
  • Entry to our Well-Being Suites at Palatine Leisure Centre and Moor Park Health and Leisure Centre.

How to Join

You can sign up online at www.­acti­veb­lac­kpool.­co.­uk:

  1. Click "Join."
  2. Choose your preferred centre and membership type.
  3. If you don’t already have a leisure card, you can register for one during sign-up.

Alternatively, visit any of our reception desks to join in person.

Please bring the following when signing up:

  • Proof of address (for new leisure card applications).
  • Proof of employment (ID or wage slip) for corporate memberships.

Additional Notes

  • A £10.50 joining fee applies to adult, joint, and family memberships (waived for annual memberships).
