There were 23 entries made but only these 13 results have been received by the due date

It is sad that so few enter (& then even less actually send in a result) as there must be many, many members out there running, probably even in Parkrun most weeks!

A big “thank you” to all those who did participate this year.

Anyway, the results ……firstly, many congratulations to Hiren for retaining the HASSRA SE “title” he won last year and to Julie for becoming HASSRA SE “champion” this year – and to both runners-up.

Also, to the Veterans (65+) winners……….somewhat embarrassing but “you've got to be in it to win it!”

Sadly, there were no teams this year and this does seem a waste.

I will be discussing with my Board colleagues how we go forward with these Championships.

It would be sad to see them disappear and we really should be seen to be encouraging people out to exercise – along with our April Challenge which covers all abilities, including Swimming & Cycling - this seems to “tick all the boxes” in offering incentives to get out & take part ….so if you do have any thoughts, suggestions on what we could do to increase the appeal of these Championships then I will be very happy to hear from you.

Andy Bashford.
