HASSRA FestivalsPictionary Evening!We are holding a Pictionary Evening, and require teams of 3 to take part.From the evening we will be selecting our team to go through to the National Finals, which are part of the HASSRA Festival in July.However if you just wish to take part on the evening then please just come along.If you wish to take part but have not got a team of 3 then please get in touch and we can allocate you to a team.To register for the event, or for more information, please email hassra.fyldecommsteam@dwp.gov.ukThursday 24th April (7:45pm) for 8pm startTEE TIME Social ClubFleetwood Rd, Thornton-Cleveleys FY5 1RN_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Calling all Luke Littler and Fallon Sherrock wannabes!!We require Male & Female Darts Players for the HASSRA Festival, which will take place between 5th - 7th September @ University of Warwick, near Coventry.You MUST be available to compete on the competition day of Saturday 6th SeptemberThere is male and female singles, as well as a Team of 3 Event.Our Regional Qualifier will be held:Friday 11th April 2025 (7:45pm) for 8pm startBlackpool Subscription Bowling ClubSomerset Avenue, FY1 5QUIf you are interested or would like some further information, please contact REBECCA.MACDONALD1@DWP.GOV.UK_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ 2025 FestivalsWe are beginning the search to find members to represent Fylde at this year’s HASSRA Festivals and compete against, or participate, in activities with members from the other HASSRA regions from across the country. Held at University of Warwick with it’s state of the art facilities, the Festivals are a fantastic experience and one that every member should try and experience. An action-packed Saturday will see members take part in whole range of diverse events and activities, followed by a presentation dinner in the evening, with a chance to dress up and celebrate the successes of the day. Attendees will receive up to two nights accommodation, travel and meals for FREE! The July Festival takes place on Friday 4th – Sunday 6th July 2025.This will include: Archery, Badminton, Coarse Angling, Crown Green Bowls, Drama Workshop, Foot Golf, GK Quiz, Gym Based Triathlon, Men's Five a Side Football, Mixed Rounders, Pictionary, Tennis, Wild Swimming / Paddle Boarding. The Activity Alliance will be running a Pickleball taster in the Westwood Tennis Centre, set up so that both disabled and non-disabled members attending can also try this inclusive sport. The September Festival is Friday 5th – Sunday 7th September 2025.This will include: Bhangra Workshop, Chess, Craft (Jewellery Making TBC), Darts, Flat Green Bowls, Golf, Netball, Pool, Snooker, Sports Quiz, Squash, Table Tennis, Tenpin Bowling, Walking Football. The Activity Alliance will be running a Boccia taster in the Sports Hub Multipuropse Room, set up so that both disabled and non-disabled members attending can also try this inclusive sport.
