Date - Sunday 30th March (Mothers Day)

Meeting Time 08:30

Experience this 11.6-km (7.5 mile)circular trail near Stoney Middleton, Derbyshire.
Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 3 h 20 min to complete. This is a very popular area for hiking and walking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime.
Explore the popular Peak District attraction and treat yourself to breath-taking views across the Derwent Valley and beyond.
The trail begins at Curbar Gap car park and initially follows the top of Curbar Edge. After a gentle descent, it leads to a woodland path and a moorland trail that climbs again to the surrounding hill. Then, it crosses the road and joins Bar Road to follow a relatively flat Baslow Edge.
Please note that the walk includes some rough sections that require extra care, especially during wet conditions. It is recommended to wear appropriate footwear
Lunch: Walkers should bring a packed lunch, snacks, a hot drink and plenty of cold drinks.
Clothing: Be sure to bring extra layers as once up on the edges, it can be quite cold and windy.
The terrain may be muddy and uneven in parts though due to the time of the year, so appropriate footwear will be needed.
Following the event, members may claim travel and parking expenses
Walkers attend at their own risk as as there is not always a first aider in the group
