Venue and Timings

This will be an all-day event on Saturday 5th July.

It will take place at The Tennis Centre located at Westwood on the University campus, a 15-minute walk from the HASSRA reception.

Event Format and Rules

This is a National Championship event.

Each region will be invited to select a maximum of two men and two women to take part.

The Championships will consist of two competitions: Ladies’ Doubles and Men’s Doubles.

This will be a knock-out competition and will be played in accordance with the rules of the Lawn Tennis Association. Subject to the number of entries, the format may be changed to a round-robin.

There will be a plate competition in each of the two events, time permitting.

A full set of rules and an order of play will be issued to all competitors prior to the event.

Kit and Equipment

Suitable indoor footwear and clothing must be worn.

Competitors will need to provide their own tennis racquet. Tennis balls will be provided.

Lunch will be provided and refreshments will be available to purchase.

There are changing facilities, including showers and lockers. There is also a suitable area for spectators.

Although some prior experience is recommended in order to take part in this event, it is not essential.
