Experience this 14.4km (9.5ish mile) circular trail in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire.

A nice trail starting in Meltham that, after a section on a country road through fields, follows the Wessenden Head Road for a stretch, heading on a steep ascent over the hill and to Wessenden Head Reservoir.

It crosses several streams and continues along the edge of the escarpment, taking in great views of Blakeley Reservoir and Butterley Reservoir below before making its way back to the trailhead, passing Deer Hill Reservoir on the way.

Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 4.5 - 5 hours to complete. This is a very popular area for hiking and walking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime.

Please note that the walk includes some rough sections that require extra care, especially during wet conditions. It is recommended to wear appropriate footwear
